What is KIMS?
KIMS Nursery and Primary School, also known as Kudos Indian Montessori Shikshalaya, is a Montessori school in Selaiyur, Chennai, for children from Pre-KG to Class 5. It is recognized by the Tamil Nadu Government and is an initiative of The VEDIC Educational and Charitable Trust.

Which classes does KIMS offer?
Pre-KG, LKG and UKG in Montessori early-years classrooms, and Classes 1 to 5, which follow the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus. Classes 6 to 12 are planned for children who come up through KIMS. For Pre-KG, your child should have completed 3 years by 31 March of the year they join.
What are the school hours?
Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays. Pre-KG: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. LKG and UKG: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Classes 1 to 5: 9:30 am to 3 pm.
How does KIMS teach?
Through the Montessori method: children learn each idea with hands-on materials before moving to the abstract, at their own pace. We build ten learning superpowers, from curiosity and clear reasoning to kindness and a growth mindset, so children understand rather than memorise.

Yes. KIMS Nursery and Primary School is recognized by the Tamil Nadu Government.
Which languages do children learn?
English, with Tamil and Hindi. By the end of UKG, children aim to speak fluently in English and hold a simple conversation in Tamil and in Hindi.

What events and activities happen at KIMS?
An Annual Day on stage, a Sports Day, Grandparents', Mom's and Dad's Days, festivals such as Pongal, Deepavali, Christmas, Vinayaka Chaturthi and Onam, Independence Day, colour days for the youngest children, field trips, and karate, where KIMS students won trophies at the FCKA 2nd National Karate Championship.
